Learn how to process sales quickly, accept multiple payment types, and manage your daily transactions.

Overview

The POS (Point of Sale) is where you process customer purchases. It's designed to be fast and intuitive, whether you're on a phone or computer.

Making a Sale

    Navigate to POS

    Click "POS" in the sidebar or navigation menu

  2. 2

    Add products to cart

    Click products, use search, or scan barcodes. Tap the + and - buttons to adjust quantities.

  3. 3

    Review the cart

    Check items, quantities, and total amount on the right side

  4. 4

    Click Checkout

    Select payment method and complete the sale

💡 Quick Tips

  • • Use the search bar to quickly find products by name
  • • Click on a cart item to edit quantity or remove it
  • • Categories help you browse products faster

Payment Methods

Yemame POS supports four payment methods to suit your customers' preferences:

Cash

Enter the amount received from the customer. The system calculates change automatically.

Card

For debit or credit card payments. Process the payment on your card terminal, then confirm in POS.

Mobile Money

MTN MoMo, Vodafone Cash, AirtelTigo Money. Customer sends payment to your number, you confirm receipt.

Credit (Pay Later)

Allow trusted customers to pay later. Requires selecting or creating a customer. See Credit Sales below.

Credit Sales

Credit sales let customers buy now and pay later. The debt is tracked automatically.

    Add items to cart as usual

    Select or add a customer

    Credit sales must be linked to a customer for tracking

  3. 3

    Choose "Credit" as payment method

  4. 4

    Complete the sale

    The amount is added to the customer's outstanding balance

Recording Payments: When a customer pays off their debt, go to Customers → select customer → Record Payment

Applying Discounts

You can apply discounts to individual items or the entire cart.

Percentage Discount

Apply a percentage off (e.g., 10% off)

Example: ₵100 item with 10% off = ₵90

Fixed Amount Discount

Reduce by a specific amount (e.g., ₵5 off)

Example: ₵100 item with ₵5 off = ₵95

💡 Discount Codes

You can create reusable discount codes in Settings → Discounts. These can be percentage or fixed amount, and you can set expiry dates.

Held Sales

Need to pause a sale and serve another customer? Hold the current sale and retrieve it later.

To Hold a Sale

  1. 1. With items in cart, click "Hold Sale"
  2. 2. Add an optional note (e.g., customer name)
  3. 3. The cart clears and the sale is saved

To Retrieve a Held Sale

  1. 1. Click "Held Sales" in the POS
  2. 2. Select the sale you want to continue
  3. 3. Items are restored to cart, continue checkout

Receipts

After completing a sale, you can print, download, or share the receipt.

Thermal or regular printer

Download PDF

Save to device

Share

WhatsApp, email, etc.

Customize receipts: Go to Settings → Receipt Settings to add your logo, change colors, and customize the footer message.
